About the author
Adam Powley is a journalist, lecturer, and writer of over 20 books. He is the author of a number of award-nominated books including volumes on boxing and horse racing in Haynes Publishing’s illustrated sporting history series. He is also the co-author of the award-winning 61: The Spurs Double (written with Martin Cloake and Doug Cheeseman).
He has written a number of titles on military history, popular music, the World Cup, Pele, and several books on Tottenham Hotspur, including When Football Was Football: Tottenham Hotspur, and the bestselling Spurs Miscellany and The Boys from White Hart Lane (both co-authored with Martin Cloake).
