Get ready to up your game with new manual from Haynes

For over 50 years, Haynes Manuals have been helping vehicle owners tweak and personalise their cars and motorbikes to make driving the most enjoyable experience possible. Now the automotive experts have turned their hands to the world of computers, with a step-by-step guide to making the perfect gaming PC.

Build Your Own Gaming PC covers a wide range of topics to help both first-time builders and expert modifiers choose the elements and accessories for their PC. With advice on the latest technology, including Oculus Rift and NVIDIA SHIELD, this book provides the know-how for gamers to face the specification challenges of next year's hottest titles.

Talking about the manual, author Adam Barnes commented: "There's nothing worse than splashing out on the latest big gaming release and then being limited to poor graphics and slow loading speeds that can spoil the online gaming experience.

"The aim of this manual is to enable readers to get the best performance for their requirements and their budget, whether that's less than £500 or in excess of £6,000. We've packed the manual with unbiased advice about the components on the market, as well as useful tips for testing and troubleshooting.

"As Haynes has proved over the years, there's nothing more satisfying than seeing your DIY handiwork pay off. Once you've followed the easy guidance in this manual, you'll be able to proudly show off your hardware to your friends and face a gaming marathon."

Written in Haynes' inimitable step-by-step format, Build Your Own Gaming PC contains jargon-busting sections and images throughout to make this an approachable title for any gaming enthusiast.
